Name Submissions - Trans Day of Remembrance

To submit a name of a deceased trans person who you would like to commemorate, please provide some information about yourself and the individual below.

Traditionally, during annual TDoR ceremonies, The 519 has erected a temporary "Memorial Wall" of trans community members who have passed away. This display includes the person's name, year of birth/death, and a photo. While the temporary Memorial Wall will likely continue to be diplayed for this year's ceremony, The 519's internal TDoR committee is exploring alternative ways of commemorating deceased trans community members in the future. There are 2 considerations:

Physical Commemoration: this option would include the deceased person's printed photo, name, year of birth/death, and would displayed during Trans Day of Remembrance ceremonies on a recurring yearly basis, or on a permanent "Memorial Wall". The 519 is planning on printing photos on *photo blocks* and displaying them either permanently, or temporarily during TDoR. Please note that we will only produce a *photo block* of the people who had a connection to The 519, or lived in Toronto. If the person did nothave a personal sonneciton to The 519, or did not live in Toronto, you are welcome to make a submission as a Digital Commemoration.

Digital Commemoration: this option would include the person's photo, name, year of birth/death, and tagline on a permanent TDoR-themed, 519-managed webpage. *Webpage has not yet been launched*

In order to incorporate your submission into this year's, and future, Memorial Wall(s) (either physical or digital), please respond by November 10th. If you submit a name after November 10th we will make every effort to include it in this year's display, but we cannot guarantee it.
