Caring with Pride: A Workshop for Caregivers of 2SLGBTQ+ Youth

Inviting adults, parents/caregivers, and guardians of Kids and Youth Action and Arts Space (KAAS and YAAS) participants. Meet with other families, ask questions, and discuss topics related to 2SLGBTQ+ children and youth.
Join guest facilitator Gena Little from Gary Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids to:
- Discuss challenges youth face,
- Look at protective factors,
- See how caregivers can support their 2SLGBTQ+ youth,
- Chat with other guardians of the programs,
- Find resources and more!
About the Facilitator:
Gena Little (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and over ten years of experience supporting children, youth, and families. Gena has provided brief therapy, crisis support, and service navigation in school and community-based settings, including Kids Help Phone and Stella’s Place. Gena is committed to delivering affirming, evidence-based care that is grounded in compassion and anti-oppressive values. Outside of work, she enjoys fostering dogs, camping, and sipping a good cup of coffee.
