  • The 519 is a 2SLGBTQ+ community centre, located in the heart of Toronto's "Church and Wellesley Village", committed to the health, happiness and full participation of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities. A City of Toronto agency with an innovative model of Service, Space and Leadership, we strive to make a real difference in people’s lives, while working to advance equity, justice and community strength.

     

    Green Space Festival is The 519's biggest fundraising event of the year and Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Festival! With world-class music producers, extraordinary performers, drag royalty, and a whole lotta love, this 5-day outdoor party helps power the year-round programs provided to 2SLGBTQ+ communities at The 519 and beyond.

     

    We’d love for you to join us for a time of fun, joy, and giving back to (y)our community!

  • All Volunteers must be 18 years old or older. Are you 18 years old or older?*
  • Attendance at a one-time, mandatory, in-person training session is required. You will be able to sign-up for this session in this form! Are you willing to attend a training session by The 519?*
  • Green Space Festival is a 5-day outdoor party that happens in Barabara Hall Park (beside The 519 building) from Wednesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 28. Will you be able to attend a Volunteer Shift during these 5 days?*

  • Below are the Volunteer Roles available for Green Space Festival. Please select the top 2 roles that interest you.*
  • A Smart Serve Certificate is a legal requirement for handling the sales of alcohol to the public. All Bar Team Volunteers MUST have this. The training is offered online at your own pace. Volunteers who can commit to taking 2 Bar Shifts will have the cost of the training covered by The 519. Are you willing to get a Smart Serve Certificate?

  • Book your Volunteer Training Session by selection ONE of the available dates below. Attendance at one session is mandatory to become a Green Space Festival Volunteer.*

  • The personal information on this form is collected under the authority of the City of Toronto Act, S.O. 2006, Chapter 11, Schedule A, s. 136 (b) & (c) . Personal information is used for the delivery of The 519’s programs and services. Specifically, it will be used for the purpose(s) of: Registration, Program Evaluation, Reporting, Program Planning, Determining Eligibility, Sending Communications, Fundraising. The 519 will not trade personal information with other organizations.
