Canvas of Dreams: A 50th Celebration of 2SLGBTQ+ Newcomer & Refugee Advocacy

  • Canvas of Dreams: Celebrating 50 Years of The 519

Join us on Friday, November 27, from 6:00–9:00 PM, at The 519 for Canvas of Dreams, a free community celebration honouring 50 years of advocacy, community-building, and collective care. This special evening celebrates the stories, cultures, and contributions of 2SLGBTQ+ newcomers and refugees through live performance, music, storytelling, and community connection.

Headlining the evening is acclaimed poet, writer, and performer Staceyann Chin, alongside MC Nikki and performances by Mila Blue, Tee, Juliano, and other great performers.

Together, we’ll honour the people and movements that have shaped our histories, celebrate the communities that continue to make The 519 what it is today, and imagine the futures we are building together.
